Free Arts Activities for adults who live or work in North Glasgow
Learn a new skill: Meet new people: Have fun improving your health

Classes run from last week in January until the end of March. You will be welcome to attend any week! (space permitting)

Creative Arts:
Tuesdays from 25th Jan, 10am – 12noon @ St Matthews Centre, 200 Balmore Rd, Glasgow, G22 6lJ
Working towards NGARN’s Inside Out Spring Event, the group will explore words and images to create a group art piece that will be made using different creative art styles such as drawing, collage and using textures. We will also have a tutor on hand to help you learn the basics in drawing. Come along and join us where you can learn and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere. No previous experience required.

Photography:
Wednesdays from 26th Jan, 1pm – 3pm @ Red Road Community Studio, flats 23/3 & 4, 10 Red Road Court, G21 4PF
Learn some simple creative photography and craft techniques.  The project will explore taking photographs, image transfer onto fabric and basic embroidery techniques.

Creative Writing:
Thursday from 3rd February, 10am – 12noon @ St Matthews Centre, 200 Balmore Rd, Glasgow, G22 6lJ (starts back 3rd Feb)
Put your stories into words at Keep Well Creative Writing. No experience is required; whether it’s stories or poems, fiction or non-fiction, we’re here to help. It’s relaxed and fun and you’ll get to meet other people. Why not give it a go?

Community Choir
Thursdays from 27th January, 6pm – 8pm @ New Rhythms for Glasgow, Flemington House, Flemington Street, Springburn, Glasgow, G21 4BX. T:0141 557 1123
Have you ever wondered about joining a choir? Now is your chance to try: for free and near you! We welcome any ability, from experienced singers to the totally terrified. The workshops will focus on fun and will encompass a mixed repertoire of songs.

Ruchill History Group
Coming early 2010
Explore the history of Ruchill through creative writing and visual art to contribute towards a local history archive project.
